When I moved to the East Midlands nearly 6 years ago, I became captivated by these mysterious carvings known locally as Belvoir Angels. Made in strong Swithland Slate, they were made over many decades just in this area. The thing is though that no-one knows who made them. For me, they reminded me of my sister that had passed away not long before I moved here. Known also as soul effigies, the only similar ones are found near Massachusetts and Wales. These pieces are made using upcycled linen and stencilling to make one off cushions and pochoir prints onto 100% cotton rag prints.

Please contact me if you would like to see which cushions and prints I have available.
