INTERIOR SPACES
2024 was the start of some really new exciting drawings. Instead of looking outside, I looked inside - and drew cups of tea and coffee in all sorts of cafes. I loved the sound of the chatter, of conversations fleeting and steady. I could sit quietly and listen and draw what was in front of me. I soon found I was using my papercutting head to pull out a black line and the more I made, the more excited I became. They became a puzzle of abstraction. Drawn onto reused packaging, I found ways to make the black the blackest black I could, and let the colours drawn really sing. Some pieces are available to purchase.
